BABY GREEN:
Lawrence Richard Green, only child of Lawrence and Beulah Rickard Green, died at the family residence in Desloge, Thursday night, July 19, at the tender age of one year and two months. He had been ill for more than a week with intestinal trouble. The funeral service was held yesterday afternoon at two o'clock at the First Baptist church in Desloge, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. H. Winstead, assisted by Rev. E. H. Zipprodt of the Flat River Baptist church. Interment was in Parkview cemetery, with Boyer's Undertaking Company in charge.
During his brief stay here baby Larry endeared himself to everyone who knew him. His passing has left a vacancy in the home of his parents, grandparents and other relatives and friends.

He was born June 15, 1923, in Esther, son of the late Samuel and Grace 'Smith' Cowley. Also preceded by one son, Ronald; one step-daughter, Cathy Peery; four sisters: Dorothy Henderson, Margaret Hedrick, Clara Frazier, Mildred Clouse.
Survived by his wife, Deloris 'Marion' Cowley of Farmington; his former wife, Dorothy Prier of Doe Run; two sons, Gerald Cowley and wife, Marie of Imperial and Thomas Cowley and wife, Susie of Doe Run; one daughter, Pauline Williams and husband, Douglas of Farmington; two step-sons, Douglas Peery of Park Hills and Ricky Peery of Farmington; one step-daughter, Tonja Smith of Park Hills; nine grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one brother, Darrell Cowley of Big Springs, Texas; two sisters, Donna, Mrs. Paul Underwood of Park Hills and Barbara Reese of Farmington; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Caldwell Memorial Chapel in Park Hills. Memorial service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Caldwell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Graham officiating. Memorials: Hospice Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

Nellie Mae Bequette, 65, of Rt. 3, Farmington was born May 5, 1912 at Libertyville and died Aug. 31 at Farmington Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Annie King Tucker.
Surviving are: her husband, Jeff Bequette, Rt. 3, Farmington; a sister Laura (Mrs. Albert) Grider, Lewisville, Tex.; a brother Alfred Tucker, Rt. 3, Farmington.
Mrs. Bequette will be in state at 7 p.m. tonight at Miller Funeral Home. Chapel services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday with the Revs. John Rider and Lawrence Winnick officiating. Interment will be at Christian Cemetery, Libertyville.

John Thomas Cowley was born on Sept. 5, 1893, and entered into rest on Jan. 16, 1919, being 25 years 4 months and 11 days old. Thomas was the oldest child and only son of the late Ben and Sarah Cowley. Upon the death of his father about six years ago, the care of the family fell upon his shoulders and like a true son and noble brother, he discharged this duty lovingly and faithfully. He was a fine boy, early giving his life to God and uniting with the Methodist Church at Libertyville when only fourteen years of age.
He leaves to mourn his death a mother and five sisters, also one half-brother, besides a host of other relatives.
A short funeral service was held at home by the writer, Elder W. E. Coffer, after which the remains were laid to rest in the M. E. cemetery at Libertyville.

Cora Viola Wood was born in Maego City, Ohio on June 23, 1865, a daughter of the late Nelson and Mary Jane McKnight Wood. On November 21, 1892, she was married to Pink Luther Hunt, who survives. She also leaves two sons, B. R. Hunt of DeLassus and L. D. Hunt of St. Louis and two daughters, Mrs. Lois Pautea and Mrs. Verna O'Connor of St. Louis, other relatives and many friends.

James Homer AuBuchon, son of Clarence E. and Florence Carrow AuBuchon of Bonne Terre, [was born] November 26, 1907, and passed away at the Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis, at 8:00 a.m., Monday, November 22, 1943. He was 35 years 11 months 26 days of age.
Homer was reared in Bonne Terre and attended the St. Joseph Parochial School. For the past ten years he has been employed in St. Louis. Besides his heart broken parents he is survived by two sisters, Mr. Geo. Setsch of St. Louis and Marie at home.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning at 9:00 o'clock at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church conducted by the Rev. Father G. W. Brinkmann.
Interment was in the St. Joseph's Cemetery. Benham Service.

CHARLES W. CROUCH:
Charles W. Crouch was born in Phelps County, Mo., June 16, 1877, and departed this life at his home in Elvins, Mo., August 16, 1946, aged 69 years 2 months. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Elvins Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. S. S. Borum. Interment was in the Bismarck Cemetery, with Caldwell Service.
On July 18, 1901, he was united in marriage to Miss Margaret Boone, who preceded him in death on May 14, 1944. They were the parents of seven children, two of whom preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing four sons and one daughter: Asbury Crouch of Salem, Mo., Edmond and Orville Crouch of Elvins, Louie Crouch and Mrs. James Brooks of St. Louis; also thirteen grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
On January 6, 1946, he professed faith in Christ. He was affiliated with the I.O.O.F. Lodge for twenty-five years.

JACK HIBBITS:
John Brim Hibbits, only son of John W. and Gertrude Brim Hibbits, was born at Desloge, Mo., September 25, 1917, and passed away at his home in Desloge, Thursday, August 15, 1946, aged 28 years 10 months 20 days.
Jack, as he was known to everyone, was stricken early in life with multiple sclerosis and the past eight years has been an invalid. During his long illness he was unusually patient and cheerful. He attended Desloge schools and Farmington Business College, and when quite young he became a member of the Desloge Methodist Church.
He leaves to mourn his untimely passing, his parents and two sisters, Miss Elizabeth Hibbits and Miss Alice Hibbits of Kansas City, also his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Brim of Desloge, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Desloge Methodist Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Sam Bohnenkamp. A quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Cole, Mrs. Morris Ward and Mrs. Walter Cook, accompanied by Mrs. H. W. Doss, sang three selections: "There Is No Night There," "Sometime You'll Understand," and "It Is Well with My Soul." He was laid to rest in Parkview. Boyer Service.

Estelle Schifferdecker, nee Munie, 99, of Lake Zurich, Ill., formerly of Belleville, Ill., born Oct. 19, 1907, in Belleville, Ill., died Friday, May 18, 2007, at Lexington Health Care Center, Lake Zurich, Ill.
Mrs. Schifferdecker was a longtime member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Belleville, Ill. She was also a past Queen of the Daughters of the Nile in Belleville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer C. Schifferdecker, whom she married in 1929, at St. Paul's Church, Belleville, Ill., and who died Dec. 30, 1982; a daughter, Joyce; her parents, August and Anna, nee Rhein, Munie; four sisters; seven brothers; and a son-in-law, Kenneth Bingheim.
Surviving are her two daughters, Rita Bingheim of Peru, Ill., and Gail Paul of Lake Zurich, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Dennis (Maria) Bingheim, Jeff Bingheim, Greg (Cindy) Bingheim, Brad (Diane) Bingheim, Mark Bingheim, David Paul, Pamela (Matthew) Krawczynski, Melinda Meinhardt, and Kristina (Lou) Sterbenc; and ten great-grandchildren.

MRS. BLANCHE EASLEY:
Mrs. Blanche Easley of Farmington was born on May 21, 1884 in Knob Lick, a daughter of the late Eli Perry White and Nancy Elizabeth Williams White, and died on December 1, 1972 at Farmington Community Hospital. She was aged 88 years at the time of her death.
She was united in marriage to Robert P. McGeorge in 1906 and to this union two children were born. Mr. McGeorge preceded her in death.
Later she was united in marriage to B. W. Easley who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Easley is survived by one son, Robert P. McGeorge of Clinton, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Robert P. McGeorge Jr. and Nancy (Mrs. John) Lovelady; two great-grandchildren; two step-sons, James Easley and Paul Easley, both of Farmington.
She was a member of Knob Lick Church of God where funeral service was held at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Harold Mobley. Interment was in Knob Lick Cemetery with Cozean Service in charge of arrangements.

MRS. BLANCHE V. YEAGER:
Mrs. Blanche Verena Yeager, daughter of the late John W. Pinkston and Caroline Wooldridge Pinkston, was born on August 1, 1896 in Ste. Genevieve County and died at her residence on November 30, 1972. She was aged 76 years, three months and 29 days.
On December 6, 1925 she was united in marriage to Kennett Andrew Yeager who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Margaret (Mrs. Gary) Duvall of St. Louis and Mary (Mrs. Robert) Beardsley of Manhattan, Kansas; two grandsons, Craig and David Beardsley; also one sister, Mayme (Mrs. Ira) Thomas, of Farmington.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Kennett Eugene Yeager who died at the age of 20 years, and a son who died in infancy.
Service was held at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon in the chapel of Cozean's Funeral Home by the Rev. J. Loren Jolly assisted by the Rev. Leslie Reed. Interment was in Parkview Cemetery with Cozean Service.

Marshall Nelson Polk of Farmington died on November 29, 1972 at the age of 86 years, seven months and four days. He was born on April 25, 1886 in the state of Missouri, a son of the late Tom Polk and Virginia Wallen Polk.

Survivors are: four sons: Walter Black, St. Louis; Edward Black, San Jose, California; Hamer Black of Rapid City, South Dakota; and James Black of Burbank, California; one daughter, Ruby (Mrs. Charles) Benedict, St. Louis; also eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Luther Black of Farmington; a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Chapel service was held on Monday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge by the Rev. Virgil Vaughan. Interment was in Parkview Cemetery with Boyer's Funeral Service of Desloge.

WILLIAM J. NEUBRAND:
William J. Neubrand of Bonne Terre, died August 4, 1973, at Farmington. He was born February 9, 1888, at East Bonne Terre, the son of the late Charles and Mary Neubrand.
Surviving are: two daughters, Wanda Reecht of Festus and Martine Wirth of St. Louis; one son, Verdun Lee Neubrand of Desloge; three sisters, Anna Lodholz of Bonne Terre, Albertine Mahler and Margaret Vargo, both of East Bonne Terre; three brothers, Charles, Henry and Herman Neubrand, all of East Bonne Terre.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Estelle Neubrand and one sister, Elsie Moore.
Rosary was at 8 p.m. Monday, August 6.
Requeim Mass was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bonne Terre. Rev. Ed Hilgeman officiated and interment was at St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Services, Bonne Terre.

MYRTLE LUNDBORG:
Myrtle Lundborg of Bonne Terre died in St. Louis at the age of 77 years, August 5, 1973. She was born October 6, 1896, in Bonne Terre, a daughter of the late J. P. and Josie Spence.
Surviving are: two nephews, Edward and Harold Spence, both of St. Louis; and one niece, Mrs. Richard Kossman of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Lundborg and one brother, John Spence.
Private graveside services were conducted at the Bonne Terre Cemetery Tuesday, August 7, 11:30 a.m., with Rev. Willard Spencer officiating. Burial was under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Services, Bonne Terre.

PAUL D. HIBBITS:
Paul D. Hibbits of Flat River, was born April 27, 1924, Farmington, Route 2, and died Sunday, August 5, 1973, at the age of 49 years. He was a son of Mary (Williams) Hibbits and the late Allen G. Hibbits.
Surviving are: his mother, Mary Hibbits of Flat River; four sisters, Bernice Edwards of Tampa, Fla., Ina Cummings of Flat River, Mary (Mrs. Paul Bloom) of Bloomsdale, and his twin Doris (Mrs. Ralph Avis) of Tampa, Fla.; four brothers, Harvey of Desloge, Herbert of Tampa, Fla., Woodrow of Farmington, and Bob of Farmington; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother Tom also preceded him in death.
Mr. Hibbits was a veteran of World War II.
Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, at Caldwell's Chapel, Flat River, with Rev. Wesley Wagner officiating. Interment was at Three Rivers Cemetery under the direction of Caldwell's Services, Flat River.

Surviving are: his wife, Edna (Russell) Crabdree of St. Louis; two daughters, Doris (Mrs. Elva Brown) of St. Louis and Dorothy (Mrs. Gene Leuecke) of St. Louis; one son, Doyle Crabdree of St. Louis; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, August 3, at Caldwell's Memorial Chapel, Flat River, and burial was at Parkview Cemetery under the direction of Caldwell's Services, Flat River.

FRANK JESSE HAHN:
Frank Jesse Hahn of Farmington, was born October 23, 1968, at Bonne Terre, and died August 3, 1973, at St. Lukes Hospital, St. Louis, at the age of four years.
He is survived by: his parents, Frank Arthur "Sonny" Hahn and Darlene (Knight) Hahn; the following brothers and sisters at home, Renee, Karl, Bobby, Carmen, Sherry, Terri and Tonja; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Hahn of Perryville, Mr. and Mrs. Oris Holman of Reno, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hahn of Desloge, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bolinger of Perryville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Chapel services were at Caldwell Funeral Home, Flat River, Sunday, August 5, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Ken Goff officiating. Interment was at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Caldwell's Services, Flat River.
