Charles was born in Richwood Missouri. In 1910 he was a Laborer in a Lead Mine per the 1910 census for Flat River City, Missouri where they lived on Main Street.
Resident of Phoenix Arizona for 19 years and 6 months.
He resided at 1025 East Indian School Road.
Funeral was held at 10:00 A.M. at A. L. Moore and Sons Memory Chapel with the Reverend R. E. Elmore officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Margaret had 12 children, six boys and six girls, the first boy died at the age of two weeks. Margaret moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her husband in 1920, where she was a member of the Christian Church. She lost her husband in November, 1939, after which she lived with her son James in Phoenix, until 1950 when she moved to Stockton, California. Later she lived with several of her other children until coming to live with her daughter Bessie in 1957.
Margaret was returned to Phoenix where she is buried with her husband, Charles, in Greenwood Memorial Park the following Friday morning after her death.
Survived by 22 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

ARCHIE LEE EASTER:
Archie Lee Easter of Elvins, died in Missouri Pacific Hospital, St. Louis, Wednesday, Dec. 12, 1962, at the age of 69 years 10 months 22 days. He was born in St. Francois County, Mo., January 20, 1893 and was a son of the late George Easter and Mrs. Emma Crane Easter, now residing in Twas City, Mich.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning, Dec. 15, at the Immaculate Conception Church, conducted by the Rev. Leo Sullivan. Interment was in the Catholic Cemetery at St. Francois. Murphy Sparks Funeral Service.
Mr. Easter had been employed by the Missouri Pacific Railway for many years. He was married to Meadie Archambo, who survives, with two sons, Lawrence (Bunny) Easter and Alvin Easter, both of Elvins; his mother; five sisters, Mrs. Sadie Pritchett of Elvins; Mrs. Beatrice White of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Bertha Rogers of Flint, Mich.; Miss Jessie Mae Easter of Twas City, Mich.; and Mrs. Kathern Waggner of Detroit, Mich.; and seven grandchildren.

Obituary - Oscar Chatman
Oscar Chatman, son of the late John and Martha Scaggs Chatman, was born in Doe Run, May 6, 1906, and died at his home in Farmington on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1963, being 56 years eight months 17 days of age.
He was united in marriage to Edyth Hibbits of Knob Lick, on October 9, 1926. To this union three children were born; a son, Oscar Eugene, who passed away at the age of three years; and two daughters.
The deceased is survived by his wife, and daughters: Laverne (Mrs. Lloyd) Sutherland of St. Louis, and Loretta (Mrs. Carl) Wamble of Farmington; four grandchildren; four brothers; Ed of Flat River, Nolis of Denver, Colorado, Louis and Otte of Farmington; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Wilkerson and Mildred (Mrs. A. A.) Reed of Farmington, and Lola (Mrs. Wm.) Boevingloh of St. Louis. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 27th, at 2:00 p.m.at the First Baptist Church in Farmington, with the Rev. J. Loren Jolly officiating. Burial was at the Knob Lick cemetery, with Cozean Service in charge.

OSCAR CHATMAN:
Oscar Chatman, son of the late John and Martha Scaggs Chatman, was born in Doe Run, May 6, 1906, and died at his home in Farmington, Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1963, aged 56 years 8 months 17 days.
On Oct. 9, 1926, he was united in marriage to Edyth Hibbits of Knob Lick, and they were parents of three children, a son, Oscar Eugene, having died at the age of three years. He was born on March 31, 1912 in Farmington to the late John and Martha Scaggs Chatman.
Mr. Chatman is survived by his wife, Ruth Chatman, Elvins; five sons: John Chatman, Florida; Gary Chatman, Colorado; David Chatman, Michigan; Jeffrey Chatman, Illinois and Timothy Chatman, Elvins; four daughters: Sharon Strange, Elvins; Nola Covell, Washington, Ange-La Sutherland, Elvins, and Jessie Williams, Farmington; one brother, Otto Chatman, Farmington; three sisters: Mary Wilkerson, Farmington; Mildred Reed, Arizona and Jackie Boevingloh, St. Charles, 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Chatman was a member of the Frankclay Nazarene Church.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. tonight at Bert Boyer Funeral Home in Leadwood.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at the Frankclay Nazarene Church, with Rev. Don Wells officiating. Burial will be in Hillview Cemetery.

Mrs. Chatman was a member of Farmington Church of the Nazarene; Former member of Frankclay Church of the Nazarene; Charter Member of the Church of the Nazarene of Thornton, CO. & Westminister, CO.; member of Rebekah Lodge & Iris Society. Ruth was an accomplished Artist & Poet.
She is survived by her daughters: Sharon Devore of Farmington, Nola 'Mrs. Brad' Covell of Spokane, WA., Ange-La 'Mrs. Frank' Sutherland of Doe Run & Jessie 'Mrs. Mike' Williams of Farmington; sons: John (& Nan) Chatman of Clermont, FL., Gary & Tim Chatman both of Montrose, CO. & David (& Marlene) Chatman of Mooreville, IN.; sisters: Jerry 'Mrs. Charles" Hughes of Westminster, CO. & Eva Conright of Thornion, CO.; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will start Sat. at 5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington. Funeral services will be Sun, 2:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Tim Morgan officiating. Meredith A. Mills Chatman, 59, of St. Louis County, formerly of Leadwood, died Nov. 23 (1993) at St. Mary's Health Center in Clayton. She was born Aug. 8, 1934 in Bonne Terre to the late Paul Sr. and Ruby Scott Mills.
She is survived by her husband, John Chatman of St. Louis County; one daughter, Milla Chatman of St. Louis; one brother, Paul Mills Jr. of Hannibal; her mother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews; and one aunt.
Visitation will be held Friday at 6 p.m. at the C. Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the chapel with Rev. V.E. Defreece officiating. Burial will be in the Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.

Jeffrey Lyle Chatman, 30, formerly of Farmington died Oct. 7 (1984) near Fairplay, Colo., as a result of an auto accident. He was born June 24, 1954 in Farmington. He was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Jane in infancy and his father Nolis Chatman.
He is survived by his mother; Mrs. Ruth Chatman of Elvins and eight brothers and sisters: John Chatman of St. Louis, Gary Chatman of Montrose, Colo., Sharon (Mrs. Gary) Devore of Elvins, David Chatman of Plymonth, Mich., Nola (Mrs. Brad) Covell of Spokane, Wash., Angela (Mrs. Frank) Sutherland of Elvins, Jessie (Mrs. Mike) Williams of Farmington and Tim Chatman of Elvins.
Friends may call 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller Funeral Home. Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Miller Chapel with Rev. Don wells officiating. Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Garden.
If desired memorials may be made to the Frankclay Nazarene Church.

Henry W. Scaggs, the son of Peter and Minerva Scaggs, was born in Crawford County, Missouri July 4, 1857, and died at his home in Bonne Terre, Missouri, April 28th (1930), at 3:45 p.m., at the age of 72 years, 9 months and 24 days.
His passing was the result of a complication of diseases and old age.
He was married to Sarah Bricky at an early age. She departed her life December 11, 1902 and left a family of eight children, namely Mr. Edward Banster and Mr. Thornton Scaggs of St. Francois, Mrs. Samual Greenly, Mrs. Harry Mann, Mrs. Harry Boyd of St. Louis, and Mr. Willard Scaggs and Mrs. Forest Bunch of Bonne Terre.
His second marriage was to Myrtle Martin of Palmer, Missouri and to this union three children were born, Laura, Lee and Marguerite. He also leaves four brothers, George of Potosi, Thomas of Belgrade, Doc of Leadwood and Webb of Bonne Terre, besides many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday at 2 o'clock by Mrs. Lizzie McAdams of Flat River. Burial in the Bonne Terre Cemetery. C. J. Boyer of Desloge was in charge.
