Pair United in Marriage In Helicopter Ceremony
The view of the Las Vegas strip during an evening helicopter ride provided the setting for the June 15, 2006, wedding of Erin Morris and Eric Liberton. The double-ring ceremony was solemnized by the Rev. Noble J. Hamilton Jr. Following the ceremony the couple stayed a few days in Las Vegas, Nev., before returning to Ponca City.
They reside at 744 North Fourth. The bride is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, and is a branch manager for City National Bank. The bridegroom is employed in electrical at Locke Supply Company.
The bride is the daughter of Tim and Carol Harden of Ponca City, and Dan and Cheryl Morris of Hutchinson, Kan. The bridegroom is the son of Connie Liberton of Ponca City. Grandparents of the couple are Leona Hamm of Ponca City, the late Charles Hamm, Willard and Marjorie Morris of Winfield, and the late Bernard Behara.
A reception hosted by the newlywed couple's parents was held June 24 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Ponca City. Following the reception a party was held at the Bennett Estate where Shuga Daddy performed.

Their double-ring vows were officiated in a 2 p.m. ceremony by the Rev. Jack Gleason. Decorations included pedestals holding ferns, and two floral arrangements made by the Maid of Honor. Programs were distributed by Malinda Farley of Weatherford, Texas, and Wanda Stein of Ponca City, sisters of the bridegroom.
The bride is the daughter of Charles and Linda Corwin of Tulsa, and the granddaughter of Dagny Corwin of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and the late Don Corwin, the late Wanda and Cecil Stewart. The bridegroom is the son of Keith and Sue Behara of Ponca City, and the grandson of the late Bernard and Claudine Behara, the late Lorene and Charles Hill.
Patrick McClain of Bartlesville was the vocalist, and candlelighters were Courtney Stein and Jeremy Stein of Ponca City, niece and nephew of the bridegroom. Readers were Laura Jones of Tulsa, and Tom Mapel of Arveda, Colo., cousin of the bridegroom. Jill Gosch of Tulsa, attended the guest book. Carrying a swag of flowers were Trinitie Farley of Weatherford, Texas, niece of the bridegroom, Hunter Stein of Ponca City, and Tanner Farley of Weatherford, Texas, nephews of the bridegroom.
Lee Ann Finch of Tulsa, Maid of Honor, wore a black gown styled with a vee-neckline, empire-waisted sleeveless bodice and flowing skirt. She carried a bouquet of orange, yellow, fuchsia and pink Gerber daisies and purple hydrangeas. Tim Reese of Weatherford, Okla. served as Best Man, and ushers were Greg Ellis of Monticello, Ark., brother of the bride; Bob Dotson of Jenks, Kevin Brown of Tulsa. The bridegroom and Best Man wore black tuxedos and cream-colored shirts.
The bride wore an ivory satin gown designed with a beaded and scalloped strapless bodice, and a satin train. Her shoulder-length scalloped edge lace veiling was secured by an ivory headband adorned with sequins and flowers. She carried a bouquet of white, orange, yellow, fuchsia and pink Gerber daisies.
Assisting with the reception at the church parish hall were Shana Ellis of Monticello, Ark., sister-in-law of the bride; Carol Evans, Shelley Ogan, and Barbara Hewitt. Tim Stein, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, was the videographer.
The couple resides in Shawnee. The bride is an auto claims representative, and the bridegroom is dean of students at St. Gregory's.

The Longwood Baptist Church was the setting for the Nov. 6, 2004, wedding of Amie Renee Patterson and Justin Ray Huster. Steve Upshaw officiated during the 6 p.m., double-ring ceremony. A lighted archway was decorated with pink bows, and the pews were also accented with pink bows.
The bride is the daughter of Lloyd and Colleen Patterson of Ponca City, and the granddaughter of Betty Shadley of Hominy, and Jerry Ring of Stroud, and the great-granddaughter of Opal Ring of Stroud. The bridegroom is the son of Rusty and Thelma Huster of Newkirk, and the grandson of Helen Bullesfeld of Blackwell. Deceased grandparents of the couple are Bert Ring, Ernie Shadley, Ruby Corbell, Frank and Clara Huster, and Louis Buellesfeld.
Opal Upshaw, organist, played traditional wedding music. "You Are To Me" by Trevino was also played. Candlelighters were Rachael Kaup, niece of the bride, and Allison Vincent, niece of the bridegroom. Flowergirl was Ryean Stevens, and ringbearer was Austin Huster, nephew of the bridegroom.
Matron of Honor for her sister was Ashley Gray, and Maid of Honor was Candala Coffman. Bridesmaids were Talia Ceniti and Melissa Hoffman. Each wore a black satin a-line skirt with a black satin off-the-shoulder bodice, and carried a pink rose accented with greenery and baby's breath. They wore pink diamond jewelry.
Jaden Worley served as Best Man, and groomsmen were Ryan Falkenberg, Billy Huster, cousin of the bridegroom, and Wade Huster, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Chad Patterson, brother of the bride, and Daxton Nichols.
The bride wore a white tulle strapless designer ballgown. The fitted bodice was enhanced with beaded lace appliqué and featured a lace-up back. Similar beading was used to embellish the skirt and semi-cathedral length train. Her veiling was secured by a diamond and pearl tiara, and she carried eight pink roses, greenery and baby's breath wrapped with black ribbon. Following tradition, she wore a blue garter. Something new were her gown, diamond jewelry, and something borrowed was a diamond and pearl tiara.
Hosting the reception at the Unity gym were Judy Peters, DeeAnn Duke, Brenda Mooney and Pam Wilburn. Also assisting with the event was Karen Hazelwood.

Sadie Jean Tennant and Benjamin Michael Vap were united in marriage Sept. 6, 2003, in a 4:00 p.m ceremony officiated by Richard J. Beckman. The double ring ceremony took place at St. Francis Catholic Church in Newkirk.
The bride is the daughter of Kimbra Tate of Arkansas City, KS, Donnie Tate of Newkirk, and Michael and Lexie Tennant of Arkansas City and the bridegroom is the son of Michael and DaMetra Vap of Newkirk.
The processionals were Trumpets Voluntary and Cannon in D and the recessional was the traditional Bridal March.
Calla Lockwood, friend of the couple, served as Maid of Honor and was attired in a strapless A-line lavender dress with rhinestones around the top. She carried five purple Gerber daisies. Bridesmaids were Natalie Harding, sister-in-law of the bride; Janci Tate, stepsister of the bride; Tara Tate, stepsister of the bride and Shanna Stierwatt, cousin of the bride. Their dresses were lime green strapless A-lines complemented with lace. They carried five white Gerber daisies. Felicia Tennant and Addie Tennant both sisters of the bride, served as flower girls.
Best Man was Anthony Vap, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Matthew Vap, brother of the groom, and Brandon Weant, Shane Oldfield and Cody Stone, all friends of the couple. Jacob Vap, cousin of the groom, was the ringbearer. Serving as ushers were Bryan Tennant and Dakota Tennant, brothers of the bride, and Brandon Parker, friend of the couple.
The bride wore a strapless lace-up, two-piece, white satin dress made for her by her aunt, Sabra Ludlum, of Mulvane, KS. Daisy lace complemented the trim of the skirt as well as around the top and the train. Crystals and rhinestones were placed all over the dress and veil. The train and the veil were cathedral length. She carried a bouquet of white roses accented with lavender and lime green ribbon. Placed in her bouquet was her late Nanny's wedding ring.
Following the ceremony a reception was given by the mother of the bride at Moose Lodge in Ponca City. A white triple-tiered cake was decorated with purple daisies. Additional chocolate and strawberry cakes were served.
The newlyweds reside in Newkirk. The bride, a graduate of Newkirk High School and Cowley County Community College, is currently a student at Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. The groom, a graduate of Newkirk High School, is employed with Smith Tools at Ponca City.

Following the tradition of something old, new, borrowed and blue, the bride wore her grandmother's pearls as something old. Her gown was something new, and something borrowed was the bridegroom's great-grandmother's ring. Something blue was a cross pendant given to her by her mother.
The reception was held at the Apple Cart restaurant, hosted by the bride's parents. Assisting with the event were Dan'yel Almand and Amy Madrid. The wedding cakes were created by Debbie McClaskey.
The rehearsal dinner was held at the Apple Cart and hosted by the bridegroom's parents. Following a wedding trip to Cancun the couple has established a home at 6937 East Tower Road.
