William Daniels may be the same William found in the Reynolds County, Missouri marriage records as William P. Daniel (s) who married Margarie Sanders on December 27, 1883. If William were about 10 at the time of the 1876 census, and if all of the above suppositions are indeed correct, then William could have been in his early twenties at the time of this marriage.

James Andrew was known as "Jim." Supposedly he died about 1905 in Arkansas and was buried at the Presbyterian Cemetery at Belleview, Missouri. Dee and other Kitchell family have tried to find proof of this at Belleview, but couldn't. Also, Dee has been unable to find any proof of death date and place for Jim.
Family stories are that James was married (or lived with and had children by) to more than Eliza Jane Fox.

THE STAR NEWS-REGISTER, Bonne Terre, St. Francois Co. MO, June 6, 1924.
AGED INDIANA MAN DROWNS IN CROSSING HIGHLY FORD; WAS ON WAY TO VISIT SON
A sad accident occurred Wednesday, May 28th, when Mr. D. Dower, aged 66 years, was drowned at Highly Ford, two miles west of Leadwood, Mo.
Mr. Dower was enroute from Indiana to the home of a son, who is proprietor of the hotel at Taylor Town. The trip was being made in a buggy. He had driven from Potosi the day of the accident and being unacquainted with the streams in this country, drove into the river which was considerably high at the point owing to the many recent rains, and was carried down stream. Some farmers living near the scene of the accident noticed the horse and buggy lodged in a tree about 75 yards below the ford. The horse was rescued from its entanglements but died later. Mr. Dower's body was not recovered until Friday and it was found about 10 yards below the ford, lodged in some brush. It was removed to T. S. Boyer's undertaking parlor in Leadwood, where an inquest was held Friday afternoon, the jury finding that the deceased came to his death by reason of accidental drowning. The funeral service was held in Leadwood Monday and interment took place in the Leadwood cemetery.
The deceased leaves one son, J. A. Dower of Flat River, and three daughters, Pearl Lewis, Mrs. Lottie Poett and Lilly Johnson, all of Indiana. The children were all present at the funeral.

Percy Lee, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Westover, was born near Farmington, Mo., May 7, 1917, and died of whooping-cough at their home near Knob Lick, Apr. 20, 1923, aged 5 years, 11 months and 13 days.
He leaves a father, mother, three brothers and a host of other relatives to mourn his passing away.
The family is bowed in grief but we commend them to Him who said, "Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."
"We had a little treasure once, He was our joy and pride; We loved him, ah, perhaps too well, For soon he slept and died."
"All is dark within our dwelling, Lonely are our hearts to-day; For the one we loved so dearly, has forever gone away."
The little body was laid to rest in Masonic cemetery at Farmington, Mo., services being conducted by Rev. Thogmorton.

Lead Belt News, Flat River, St. Francois County, Missouri, June 28, 1961.
Mrs. Cynthia Crawford of Doe Run observed her 106th birthday on Sunday, June 25, at the White Way Nursing Home in Farmington, where she has been a patient since 1957. The occasion has been celebrated the past five years with a picnic dinner and homecoming at the Doe Run Park, but Mrs. Crawford is now only able to be out of bed about an hour each day, and no formal celebration was held.
"She has a good appetite and fairly good hearing and eyesight", Mrs. Frances Slayton, manager of the nursing home said. Mrs. Crawford was put in a chair in the living room for awhile last Sunday afternoon, and she was visited by numerous relatives and friends, including her son, Elijah Crawford of Doe Run, with whom she lived until she had passed the century mark.
She received two birthday cakes, flowers and numerous cards. When asked to what she attributes her long life she said "Love of life, and God's will". Young people of the Genevieve and Little Vine Baptist Churches sang several hymns for her Sunday afternoon, and the Rev. Delbert Allen said a prayer.
Most of Mrs. Crawford's life has been spent in and near Doe Run. She was the mother of eight children, six of whom are living, and she has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Before her health began failing, she enjoyed piecing quilts which are treasured possessions of her family. She also liked to fish with her sons on Doe Run Creek. She has a good memory and is quick to recognize old friends who come to visit her. She loves to joke with all of the residents of the home and is the life of the party. So far as is known, she is the eldest living resident of this community.
Lead Belt News, Flat River, St. Francois County, Missouri, Jan. 3, 1962.
Mrs. Cynthia M. Crawford, probably St. Francois County's oldest citizen, died at the Sunset Retirement Home in Farmington, Sunday, December 31, 1961, at the advanced age of 106. She had lived in the nursing home the past several years.
Born in Bollinger County, Mo., on June 25, 1855, she was a daughter of the late Henry Baker and Mary Shell Baker. Her husband, Bart Crawford, is deceased. Surviving relatives include six children: Mrs. Mary Jane Murray of Farmington; Mrs. Sarah Ellen Pritchett of Fenton, Mo.; George Crawford of Rivermines; Jim and Elijah Crawford of Doe Run and Sam Crawford of Desloge.
She also leaves 28 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren, besides other relatives and a great many friends.
Because of her longevity, Mrs. Crawford has attracted much attention since she passed the century mark. On the occasion of her birthday, she has been honored with a family reunion and picnic in the city park at Doe Run, where she lived during her declining years with her son, Elijah Crawford. She was unusually active for one of her advanced years and was mentally alert until the time of her passing.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, January 2, at the Old Pendleton Baptist Church in Doe Run, conducted by the Rev. Charles Ellison. Interment was in the Old Pendleton Cemetery. Murphy Sparks Funeral Service.

"Local News" column: THE STAR, Bonne Terre, St. Francois Co. MO, Fri. Feb. 2, 1912.
Ben Maddern of this place, went to Leadwood Sunday to see his brother-in-law Mr. Fatchett, who came very near losing his life last Friday while at work. Mr. Fatchett's clothes became entangled in a pulley and drew him into some machinery, but for timely assistance he would have been killed. As it was, he had his clothes torn off him and he received considerable bruises.
The following was published on July 11, 1919, by THE LEAD BELT NEWS, Flat River, St. Francois County, Missouri. It mentions Lee G. Fatchett:
HUNDREDS LEAVING LEAD BELT FOR DETROIT, MICH. TO SECURE BETTER WAGES:
A number of persons left Saturday for Detroit. Within the past few weeks dozens and practically hundreds, of people have left the Lead Belt for Detroit. The majority of them have obtained employment, and have stayed. A few of them have came back. Men are not leaving the Lead Belt because of the lack of employment, but are giving up their positions here, and going because of the attractive wage-scale in Detroit. Among those who went Saturday were I. W. McDaniel and his son Sterling, Leslie Nipper, Tom Halbrook, John Sullivan and Elmer Sutterfield. Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Fatchett also went.
Included in the list of those who have left the district are many of our best citizens, men who have been here for many years and who own their own homes. These men will be hard to replace and their departure from the district is a source of considerable regret.
